The project ,,Replacement of Obsolete Wave Energy for the third generation" benefits from a € 148 000,00 grant from Norway through the Norway Grants. The project has been co-financed from the State Budget of the Slovak Republic. The aim of the project is to develop a feasibility study WEC from the point of view of business cases and from the point of view of performances and capacities of WEC – construction of a functional model of a sea wave energy converter and testing of its technical parameters. The project will significantly meet the EC targets set for 2050 to decarbonise the economy by at least 50%.A substantial step will be taken to put the energy converter into the production cycle and thus make it possible to smooth out the undesirable volatility of production from RES.
Norwegian Grants represent Norway's contribution to a green, competitive, and inclusive Europe. Norway, through the Norwegian Grants, contributes to the reduction of economic and social disparities and to the strengthening of mutual relations with recipient countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic States. Norway closely cooperates with the EU through the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA). Together with other donors, Norway has gradually provided 3.3 billion euros through grant schemes from 1994 to 2014. Norwegian Grants are exclusively funded by Norway and are available in countries that joined the EU after 2003. For the period 2014 - 2021, Norwegian Grants amount to 1.25 billion euros. The priorities for this period are:

All projects are co-financed at a rate of 15% from the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
